A Mothers Day Message..
Mothers day ..another excuse to get messy and do some home-made projects. This year we made some tissue paper flowers easy to make and lots of fun, we covered them in glue with glitter but you can use paint and different coloured tissue paper etc. There’s loads of tutorials online to teach you how to make them, luckily my friend who runs a messy club for disabled children taught me how to make them a few years ago as well as other arty stuff. At some point I will write about Grace’s favourite sensory art projects we enjoy doing at home, thankfully her school do an amazing job and they do such a lot of stuff there it saves my house from the mess and the glitter!
So back to my mother’s day message, I would like to thank my mum for making me as strong as I am and always believing in me, grace and us as a family. My mum is always a great support and the first one I go to for advice or if I need anything. They have a great relationship and although we don’t live close Grace knows that’s her nanny and always has enjoys spending time with her. They play all sorts of crazy games when they visit her, my mum will have Grace bum shuffling round her house playing shops or running a café. Grace loves role play and loves to get the picnic set out and have a teddy bears picnic.
I know some of you wont have your Mum around for this mothers day. When grace was born we lived with my mother in law, she was wonderful in the first few months with grace, just used her common sense and Irish mothering skills and handled the situation we were all in which I will always be thankful for. So lets remember all the mums and nannies that hold a place in our kids hearts on mothers day.
A happy mothers day to all you mums.
Enjoy your day x
Grace made me a cute card from school with a herbal tea enclosed!
