visit to santa..
Grace has been feeling poorly the last few days typical winter chesty cough and we have been struggling with feeding. We always seem to have a struggle when there is a drastic change in the weather does anybody experience the same?. We decided a bit last minute to book breakfast with Santa at a local garden centre which we have never done before. I was a bit unsure at first mainly because I was worried how grace would cope with the early morning start and eating out somewhere busy. Luckily we had a really early slot and the staff gave the children some drawing to do and decorating biscuits so for once it went well. Santa was amazing the best I have ever seen, he had all the kids singing and was Santa was full of Christmas spirit. I shall upload a video on to the Facebook page as not sure it will work here but you can hear grace singing in the background which is the loudest and happiest she had been for a week.
Most of the time for us it is difficult deciding whether or not to go on outings when we have to consider Grace, everything seems to run on such a tight schedule feeding, changing is it to much for her? So much to think about the whole time not as easy as just getting up and going out for the day. A wise friend of mine once told me that the whs child has to fit in with the family and whatever is arranged and I guess that’s right otherwise we would never really go anywhere or experience anything? We try to just adapt the days for everyone so nobody misses out but I know for all of us at times this is hard.
I hope you all manage to visit Santa this year and would love it if you could all share it on the site.
I am wishing my friends, family and everybody who visits the site a very merry Christmas and a happy new year xxxxx
Merry Christmas from grace xxx
I am so happy that the Santa visit was a success, you are absolutely right it is such a thought getting everyone organised especially as there is always the need for a last minute change of clothes or nappy or something!!! But i think in the long run it makes our special ones more adaptable and our others more tolerant!!! Well done Jay – everyone deserves a visit to Santa xxx Happy Christmas to you all xx
